RambleRill Farm was established in 2009 by Darin Knapp and Jane Saiers. RambleRill Farm consists of 10 acres of an old farmstead in Hillsborough that Darin and Jane are converting back to productive farmland and a quarter-acre garden at Darin and Jane’s Chapel Hill home 2 miles from the farmstead. RambleRill Farm is committed to growing wholesome food without herbicides or pesticides, to living sustainably, to preserving farmland, and to building community through sharing locally grown food. RambleRill Farm sells fruits, vegetables, and seedlings at Hillsborough Farmer’s Market and participates in the North Carolina Farmers Market Nutrition Program. Darin and Jane grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to North Carolina in 1992. When they are not on the farm, Darin works as a scientist at the University of North Carolina, and Jane runs a medical communications business. Jane is an Orange County Master Gardener.
